Clouds & Cupcakes

This 2019 exhibition was created for Mystery Print Gallery in Pinedale, WY. I invited artist Shannon Troxler, and poets Matt Daly and Connie Wieneke to join me. Check out my Journal entry here and here to see my process and also photos from the exhibition.

Cloud Studies

When making this series of monotypes I kept thinking about the print process in layers. My deliberately messy process led to a shadow-box solution. After matting the monotype, a porcelain cloud was either hung by thread or pinned into the print. The deep, open frame adds to the stage-like and theatrical feel that I see when looking into the clouds.

This exhibition also included sculpture, and since these pieces are all good friends I’m including them on this page.
